Keep America Beautiful Month!

Did you know that April is Keep America Beautiful Month? Don't worry I didn't either but I was able to learn all about it. It is a time where we are suppose to take time to ensure we are keeping America a beautiful place by recycling, cleaning up litter and even beautifying our community by planting flowers and trees.

Somethings that you can do at home to Keep America Beautiful


Picking up litter on a walk with the family.

As you take a walk with your family pick up some litter on the floor to reduce the little in your neighborhood. Make sure that you take all precautions to ensure you are keeping yourself and your family safe.

What you need to do:

Make sure you get parents permission before starting

Wear gloves or something to protect your hands

Do not touch anything that may be sharp


Recycle at home

If you are not currently recycling at home now is the perfect time to start. You can take a lot of time and learn everything you need to know about recycling.


- Understand what your towns recycling protocol.


Recycling at Home

Determine how you are going to recycle in your home. Where will you keep the recycling before recycling day. One for plastic and one for paper.


Here is a quick guide on what can and can not be recycled.

Beautify the outside of your home:

This can be planting flowers or decorating your windows or door with something beautiful to help other people as they walk past your home.
